So, what we did was, with t...

Do you really need an Intel i9 in a Gaming Laptop? (Feat. Predator Helios 16)
Переглядів 58711 місяців тому
(THIS IS NOT A REVIEW) Recently, Acer Malaysia announced the Predator Helios 16 and boy did it get sexier. Helios has been the in-betweener for Acer Nitro and Triton. Aside from the RTX 4080 GPU, RAID 0 2TB SSD and 32GB DDR5 RAM, it has a friggin 13th Generation Intel Core i9-13900HX processor - which is crazy. We have reviewed quite a few i9s so far. What kind of music do you think they are suited for? Do they perform better with music or movies?

    • @vespertech
      @vespertech 26 днів тому

      Based on the brief moment listening to music and listening to a clip from the movie Gravity, I liked how it performed when watching movies because the sound signature is more in tune with movies than music. Then again, there's the EQ controls and so on, which I definitely have to check out while I get the headphones to review from Sonos for some extensive testing because what they demoed the Headphones in, is pretty much in a controlled (ideal) environment and not to forget, the app was in Beta state. So, there's a good chance that the real world experiences will vary.

    With two headphones connected to the sound bar, can you have two different sound volumes?

    • @vespertech
      @vespertech 27 днів тому

      Here's the problem though, you could only pair one Sonos Ace to the Arc. So that means we don't have the option to connect more than one Ace headphones or control the volumes separately. Ngl I was a bit frustrated over this too.

    • @vespertech
      @vespertech 27 днів тому

      You can activate the spatial audio while listening via Bluetooth on your tablet or phones etc., but the experience might not be the same as listening when you swap with your home theatre system, more specifically a Sonos home theatre. Thing is, the app, well again was in beta, so let's see how the final app looks like. Especially with them needing to fix the app for, well, you know the whole issues going on right now.

    Three years later - our Vinnfier Hyperbar 800's internal circuit got busted - now, we did use it pretty extensively. And since its out of warranty and all that, we just threw it away before it sets our house on fire. Not gonna lie, it was good while it lasted. Onto a better Soundbar. =)

    • @ryanrocksize5
      @ryanrocksize5 Місяць тому

      Hmm, getting the refreshed 808 btrw for the 15.5 sale , hopefully they fixed the durability of the circuit board , btw , how would you consider the sound of it? Lacking mids and missing vocals? Or it's a decent balance without removing too much detail from the final output? Would appreciate your input on that, even with the soundbar you have no longer working, thx bro

    • @vespertech
      @vespertech 26 днів тому

      @@ryanrocksize5 to be frank, Vinnfier soundbars were okay at best, and for the price at that time (we reviewed the 800 in 2020), it was a good offering especially when other reputable ones cost quite a decent sum. The subwoofer handling bass, wirelessly at that price was too good to be true and the sound coming out of the sound bar was neat, though yes, some details were missing here and there (the lows especially). Honestly, I dont know if the 808 is any better because we have not tried it. But there's better value for money soundbar with wireless sub if you are looking for any, like the Philips 2.1 Sound Bar With Subwoofer TAB5305/12 and sometimes you do see the JBL Cinema SB140 2.1 going for a wee bit over 500, which i think is still a better pick. Go for those, because the last thing you want to do is - change the soundbar every time it gets busted and by the time you realize, you would have spent more on cheaper ones when that amount of money could have gotten you a better soundbar that lasts. I hope this feedback helps bro. :)

    • @ryanrocksize5
      @ryanrocksize5 26 днів тому

      @@vespertech I really appreciate the feedback bro, actually just bought my refurbished set of the 808, it does sound surprisingly good , but I do notice a definite rattle on the soundbar itself for certain voice frequencies, but besides that, pretty solid starter soundbar , might consider the Higher end Sony 3.1 offerings in the next few years once this thing breaks.

    Let me respond to your title. You can plugin this device to the PS5 but you YOU CAN'T PLAY games directly from it. So, basically it's useless in this particular case. There.

    • @vespertech
      @vespertech Рік тому

      Let me respond to your comment. I don't think you watched the video - we mentioned CLEARLY that you can play your PS4 titles of the external storage on a PS5 because those games DOES NOT require a faster storage whereas the PS5 titles CANNOT be played FROM the external drive because they NEED the faster load times of the SSD built in. It's not useless because there are consumers who has never owned a PS4, but now owns a PS5 wants the extra storage and can use an external drive for their PS4 library.

      when used for a longer duration, for sure, because usb-c drive isn't really designed with thermal pads etc., like how SSDs have. Personally, I use it to offload games I don't play and load it back onto the PS5 ssd to play - so, it's in a way easier to manage things.

      The mic quality is pretty okay. The thing with TWS in general, each one uses a different connection method which can have a delay. But making matters worse - if you do connect it to a Windows machine, for some bizarre reason - not only the 75t but other earbuds we have used, has very weird drop outs.

    i recently bought this notebook for work and i already have some issues with it! The secondary screen behaves as a touchpad for the mainscreen . i cannot select anything on the secondary screen without the help of a mouse or the touchpad/numberpad. I made a factory reset 2 days ago and it behaves exactly the same! i made some research regarding this issue but i didn't find anything and anyone talking about something like that. Now i think i have to send it back in service even if i only had it for 15 days. Maybe i made by mistake a hidden command, without knowing it, but i really don't find how to fix it!

      If that's the form factor you are planning to get, then yes. It's a bit unfortunate and tbh, I am a bit disappointed that they chose not to make a successor from the WI-1000XM2. Very niche but a practical design as compared to these TWS we see.
